WindsorA short journey out of London will take you to the Queen's favourite residence Windsor Castle dating from the 12th Century. You will be able to tour the Castle and surrounding areas including a cruise on the River Thames and there are a number of great bars and restaurants in the vicinity. |

Hampton Court PalaceHampton Court Palace the Tudor Palace of Henry VIII with its Great Hall and Tudor Kitchens. Either of these destinations can be done in a morning or afternoon or alternatively combine them both into a full day Visit Cornwall in the south west of the country closely associated with King Arthur -Tintagel, Cadbury Castle and Glastonbury (Avalon) where he is said to be buried. To go further a field visit the City of Salisbury with its magnificent Cathedral which has the tallest spire in the country rising to 404 feet, then on to Stonehenge the monument dating from 3,500 BC and finally the beautiful Georgian City of Bath. |
